That is exactly what is happening in Amarillo today.  The intersection of 26th and Georgia will be shut down today for signal repair.

What does that mean?
Well that means, 26th and Georgia is the intersection where, Market Street United, Chick-Fil-A, Walgreen, and Toot n Totum Car Care Centers sit.

It's one of the busiest intersections in Amarillo.  If you are going to Chick-Fil-A you will have to enter from Georgia Street North of 26th.  If you are going to Market Street you'll have to take the back way to the store or enter north of Walgreens.

If you are traveling down Georgia going south, you will be detoured off Georgia around 26th and back to Georgia.  If you are traveling north from south Georgia, it will be the same instance.

It will probably be a nightmare of a situation today.  So you will definitely want to take another route to get to where you are going if you normally don't travel 26th.  Plus, if for some reason you forget, do get upset, do your best to take the detours and get back on your route as soon as possible.

Hopefully, it will be a quick fix.

Once it's all over, the signals will be better and traffic flow will be great again.
