I don't get it, I don't understand it, I will never be about that life, but not everyone is like me. Some folks are thrill-seekers and I simply live through them. I hear their stories, take their word for it, and vow, per usual never to visit any place that may be haunted, like ever. If you happen to be one of these ghost adventurers or hunters, then this list is definitely for you!

There are things that are synonymous with Texas that many of us natives don't even think about most days. Until you are having a conversation with someone not from Texas and they say hey that movie Friday Night Lights was made here right? Or the famous singer Selena is from here right? You know you've had these types of conversations before and something always comes up.

If there is 1 thing you need to know about Texans, it is that we LOVE our food. Our appreciation for the food in Texas runs deep. Why? Because we believe we have the best. Hands down. Ask any native Texan. What is one of the best things about your state? A true Texan without hesitation will answer the food.

Here we thought we had it bad with cities close by called Pecos, which some folks incorrectly pronounce Pee-cos, or Waxahachie, TX, in which case you're better off trying to pronounce Worcestershire correctly. Unusual names of cities in Texas are not far-fetched. Part of my family once lived in Boerne. I dare you to attempt that one!

I'm sure the original homeowners were going for something unique when they built it and they absolutely succeeded in their efforts. I mean the front door alone has me scratching my head.
