Canyon ISD Students Can Now Earn Free Amarillo College Tuition
One advantage of having a child in Amarillo ISD is access to the Thrive program to continue at Amarillo College (AC) after graduation.
The program covers up to 60 college credits, or three years of tuition, which is roughly enough for an associate degree. However, the Thrive program will end in 2027. It had been unique to Amarillo ISD and not offered to other school districts in the area.
Now, those who attend a Canyon ISD school will have the opportunity to work for something similar. CISD has teamed up with Amarillo College and now offers its students something to extend their education into college.

What Other Schools Are Eligible for AC's Badger Bound Scholarship?
The great thing about AC's Badger Bound Scholarship is that it isn't just available to one ISD; it is available to all ISDs within AC's Panhandle Region. So all high school students who complete 15 hours of dual credit with AC will be eligible.
