Talk about multi-tasking. Brad can do it all and now add "author" to his resume.

Brad Paisley: Country music A-lister, Entertainer of the Year and best-selling author?

Maybe soon. Paisley is set to release his first major book, ‘Diary of a Player: How My Musical Heroes Made a Guitar Man Out of Me,’ this spring.

‘Diary of a Player’ is a co-write with David Wild, an Emmy-nominated television writer/producer and contributing editor at Rolling Stone. According to the publisher, Howard Books, the upcoming book is a different side of Paisley — “the very personal story of how Paisley became who he is today.”

Though the title suggests that the ‘Alcohol’ singer has been making his rounds in Nashville, “player” actually refers to the guitarists who have influenced Paisley’s career, making the book “a salute to the guitar gods of country, blues, and rock ‘n’ roll who have shaped [Paisley's] life.”

‘Diary of a Player: How My Musical Heroes Made a Guitar Man Out of Me’ hits bookstores on April 19, the same day that Paisley’s eighth studio album, ‘This Is Country Music,’ will land on the shelves.
