It is often said that laughter is the best medicine.  And today is the best day to get a good laugh in because it is National Belly Laugh Day!

Everyday is a holiday and today is one of my favorites.  It is National Belly Laugh Day!  I love to laugh.  It makes my day better and for some odd reason gives me energy.

For years people have studied laughter.  It has been proven that laughter really is contagious.  According to a study, people who laugh frequently and whole heartedly rarely get sick.  Laughing helps fight off harmful diseases and lowers stress.

It can also help you stay fit.  No, it will not replace gym time, but it will help strengthen muscles in your face, stomach and diaphragm.  And for every 15 minutes of laughing, you will burn up to 40 calories.

I could go on and on about how beneficial laughing is for you, but instead I'm going to help you get your laugh in for today.  I came across this video the other day and it is nearly impossible to watch it without laughing.  Enjoy!
