Christmas Presents: Open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

When it comes to opening Christmas presents, when do you open them? 

This is the age old question.  Some people open their Christmas presents on Christmas eve and then open the Santa stuff on Christmas Day.  Others open their Christmas presents on Christmas day.  Depending on the family situation some open presents on both days.

I know for us, E. gets to open one present on Christmas Eve, then he gets the rest on Christmas Day.  He said to me the other day, "Momma I want to open a present on Christmas Eve, but not clothes."  He said that because he opens PJs on Christmas Eve and that's exactly what he'll be opening on Thursday.

So how do you handle Christmas presents on Christmas?
