Coffee Memorial Blood Center Is At A Critical Shortage, Need Donors ASAP

As we all know during the summer months the demand for blood donors rises as more pedestrians are on the road.

Whether they are traveling or just riding around in town, car accidents happen more during summer months mostly due to drunk drivers.

Right now the Coffee Memorial Blood Center is in critical need of blood donors. CMBC provides blood for all of the Texas counties and some outlining counties in Texas and New Mexico.

According to ConnectAmarillo.com "a multi-vehicle crash left at least one person with life-threatening injuries. That patient used nearly 20 units of type O-negative blood in addition to other blood components."

The blood center is asking the residents of Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle to donate blood as soon as possible.
