Yesterday was the 56th running of the "The Great American Race "The Daytona 500." After completing only 38 laps there was a 6 hour rain delay. Around 7:30 last night the race resumed to finish out the remaining 162 laps.

As NASCAR's biggest race of the year was under the lights, things got heated up quickly. Engine problems hit a few teams, pit problems for some other drivers, plus of course the race had a couple of big wrecks that took out 20 plus drivers. After the rain and smoke cleared one driver was at the top.

NASCAR's most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr., was #1 again winning the Daytona 500 for the 2nd time in 10 years.
