Discovery Center is Offering a Coding Class for Kids
I know I'm outdated in my kid's eyes and I am so old school when it comes to computers. I know basic HTML that's it. Technology is becoming so much more and computer technology is way more than I could ever imagine. Now, my kid and your kids have an opportunity to start learning some of that technology early.
The Don Harrington Discovery Center is offering a very cool class for kids.
The class is called Code Your Future, and what it is, is an opportunity for your kids to learn basic computer coding. They will also learn the complexities of making video games. Plus the fundamentals of Python and Swift.
The class is open to grades 4th - 8th. It will begin on Monday, September 10th and end on September 27th. The class will run Monday - Thursday, 4:30p-6:30pm.
The class will be taught by Mark Nair, a inventor and entrepreneur.
Mr. Nair is the president of two technology companies: Giant Atom, Inc. and Redigi, Inc. He has spent more than 20 years in the entertainment industry building digital platforms that handle digital content, rights management and digital distribution. Mark has his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Texas A&M University and attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law.
Cost for the class is $299 for members and $349 for non-members.
