Dolly Parton to Reunite With ‘9 to 5′ Co-Stars at 2017 SAG Awards
The 2017 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards just added a little country sass to the proceedings. It was announced on Thursday (Jan. 19) that Dolly Parton will reunite with her 9 to 5 co-stars, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, at the ceremony airing on Jan. 29.
Tomlin is set to receive one of SAG's highest honors with the Lifetime Achievement Award, given to an actor who exhibits "outstanding achievement in fostering the finest ideals of the acting profession." Parton and Fonda will be on hand to present the award to their friend and former co-star.
The comedy legend is also up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as Frankie Bergstein on the Netflix show, Grace and Frankie. Tomlin presented Parton with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 CMA Awards.

Parton, Tomlin and Fonda respectively portrayed Doralee Rhodes, Violet Newstead and Judy Bernly in the classic 1980 film, with the title track becoming one of Parton's most iconic hits. She won two Grammys for the song -- Country Song of the Year and Female Country Vocal of the Year -- in addition to scoring an Academy Award nomination for the track in 1980. 9 to 5 is among the top 20 highest-grossing comedy films of all time.
Parton had a busy end to 2016. She raised more than $9 million for the people of her native East Tennessee through the Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund telethon, benefiting those affected by the devastating wildfires that ravaged the area in late 2016, and her second made-for-TV film Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, raked in 11.4 million viewers during its Nov. 30 debut on NBC.
