If you don't like our weather just wait a few minutes and it will change. That is something we all know. Heck we know this enough that sometimes we even get all seasons in one day. The life in the Texas Panhandle. We got to love it.

We are fortunate to experience all the seasons. We get our rain, we get our snow, we definitely get our wind. There are nice summer days and the spring is beautiful here too. We have already had our first introduction to the cold temperatures a bit ago but it looks like we need to be ready for round two to hit us.

If you like the nice warm summer like temperatures we have been having recently you need to get ready. We have rain ready to move into the Texas Panhandle and with that we are going back to the cooler temperatures for the season we are in fall. I might even suggest grabbing a jacket to keep in your car for the changes. Friday evening will be chilly for those going out to attend any area high school football games. Jackets and blankets will be a huge asset.

As of now we can expect to see some rain Thursday night into Friday. Then more rain heading our way. We can see rain most of Friday and into the evening. The high for Friday doesn't look to get out of the 60's if we even make it that warm. Which is where having those jackets and blankets will come into play.

I know inevitably this was going to happen. All good things must come to an end. It looks like the summer weather is gone for awhile. After this cooler day on Friday it looks like we can expect seventies the next several days. So Amarillo get ready. Fall is here.

Say You're From Amarillo Without Saying You're From Amarillo

Amarillo is a pretty quirky place. We've got the Big Texan, the weird signs, and (obviously) the famed Cadillac Ranch. But more than that, there's a distinct culture of close-knit community, eccentrics, a thriving arts scene, and much more.

The point is, living in Amarillo is a unique experience. Because of that, it's really pretty easy to tell who's a native or a long-time resident. And I can prove it.

Here's a couple of ways you can say you're from Amarillo.....without saying you're from Amarillo.

Amarillo Landmarks: Negative Yelp Reviews

Yelp can be a strange and angry place. That's what I found out recently when I decided to sort the reviews by "lowest rating" first.

I was okay with the people upset over bad service and what not. But I came across a few reviews that, for lack of a better word, left me speechless in their scathing negative reviews on some of Amarillo's most iconic places. Prepare your self for plenty of head shaking and "I dunno" shrugs.
