The SE corner of 34th and Georgia is about to have a nice new building serving great caffeinated beverages.

Scooter's Coffee is adding its second location to Amarillo. The corner of 34th and Georgia is lacking a great coffee spot. The official address of the new Scooter's is 3401 S. Georgia. Most of the coffee spots on Georgia are near I-40, so this will be a great addition.

This store will be the drive-thru kiosk, so it'll be a quick in and out to get coffee.

When will it be open?

They are shooting for a Grand Opening date in November of 2022, just in time for the chilly weather and holiday season! This location will employ around 15 people. So if you are looking for a job in the coffee business, you can apply on their website at scooterscoffee.com.

According to a Scooter’s Coffee representative: “New Scooter’s Coffee locations are chosen by a number of factors. A lot of times, the franchisees have a connection to the community. Other times, we see that a community shares our core values. But no matter what the case may be, we see a need for specialty coffee in your area!”

If you haven't had a chance to visit Scooter's at 34th and Western, they serve up some great drinks. Their signature drink is the Caramelicious, and the menu features an array of specialty espresso beverages, single-origin coffee, fruit smoothies, Red Bull Infusions, Cold Brew, baked-from-scratch pastries, and savory breakfast options. Scooter’s also recently released its first-ever ready-to-drink canned flavored lattes!

So now that we know that a Scooter's Coffee is going in that location, I wonder where the flag and rug guy will end up. That has been his spot for years.
