Gas Line Explosion Near Borger Has Been Contained [UPDATE]

Earlier this morning around 10:30am a pressurized gas line near the town of Borger exploded.

The Hutchinson County LEPC Emergency Notification first reported of a gas line explosion near Herring Water Tower and County Rd K, between FM1923 and Country Rd 4 just west of Stinnett, TX. One voluntary evacuation was held, no injuries were reported.

The explosion was of no harm to the community nearby, at this time officials have from the Stinnett Fire Department have confirmed the blast was contained as of 3pm. Officials are still investigating the cause of the explosion.
