If you have any unpaid tickets or fines, you better get them taken care of.  It's once again time for Amarillo Police to hit the streets with their annual warrant round-up.

Every year when the APD announces their warrant round-up, the fear of going to jail crosses my mind.  I haven't had a ticket in years and years, yet I get nervous at the thought of my name being on the list.

Maybe something slipped through the cracks, maybe I thought I paid something off but missed a payment, maybe, maybe, maybe.

Starting yesterday, anybody with an outstanding an Amarillo Municipal Court warrant will be receiving a post card notice of the warrant.  This is the time that you should immediately go and take care of any outstanding issues.

On March 4th, the Amarillo Police Department will beginning finding the people with outstanding warrants and taking them into custody.  The officers will look for people at their homes, places of employment, or wherever they can be contacted.

There are over 34,000 people with warrants, so if you are The Municipal Court will be open Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. On Thursdays, the court remains open until 7:00 PM.
