Little Big Town brought a Sir Elton John classic to the 2018 ACM Awards this year. During their time onstage in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, the country quartet performed their version of John's "Rocket Man."

Jimi Westbrook took on lead vocals for song, while Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman and Philip Sweet added soaring background vocals. LBT's cover was bolstered by lights, smoke and lasers, and as the song faded out, so did the lights, leaving only a gigantic projection of Mars glowing in the background behind the group. The quartet made a statement onstage in glittery, glitzed-up outfits that contrasted strong purples and greens, and added to the futuristic feel of their performance.

Little Big Town's harmony-rich and minimalist interpretation of "Rocket Man" appears on the recently released tribute album Restoration: Reimagining the Songs of Elton John and Bernie TaupinThe song was originally released in 1972, on John's album Honky Chateau.

Restoration: Reimagining the Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin is one of two tribute albums in John's honor; while Restoration features all country artists, the other record, Revamp, is pop-focused. In addition to Little Big Town, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson are just a few of the country legends involved.
