Major Business Expansion Coming Soon to Amarillo’s I-27 Corridor
It has been said that one day Amarillo and Canyon will merge, and all that will separate them will be a sign. With the growth happening on I-27, that may be sooner than expected.
We have seen immense growth in the last 5 years on that stretch of road, with new businesses or upgrades to current businesses going up every day. Take the stretch between the Bell exit and Hollywood Road. In the last 2 years, a new church has been built, and Circle K has established another convenience store in the area.
Next to Cinemark and Sports World, the land is set for a large sports complex for Kids Inc.
What is being built next to Life.Church?
That's going to be a new warehouse that serves the electrical world: Lonestar Electric Supply
Lonestar Electric Supply was founded in 2015 and is based in Houston with stores and warehouses all over Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Tennessee. They are a wholesale distributor of electric supplies.
Details on the Lonestar Electric Supply Project
According to the Texas Licensing Department, they are building a 50,000 sq. ft. retail supply and warehouse at 8586 Canyon Drive. The project is expected to cost $7,500,000 and is anticipated to be completed by summer 2026.
Lonestar Electric Supply currently has a location in Amarillo at 10000 S. Georgia, which serves the area with electrical supplies. It is unknown if they will keep this location open once the warehouse is built.
We reached out to Lonestar Electric Supply, but had not received a response at the time of publishing.
