One of the longest running publications in the Texas panhandle has announced they are going on "publishing hold." Accent West magazine has been a staple in Amarillo and around the Texas panhandle for almost 48 years. They posted the announcement to Facebook on Saturday, May 2.

We appreciate the long-time support the magazine has received over the years. Subscriber and advertiser loyalty have enabled Accent West to be a part of the life of the panhandle for nearly 48 years. Obviously, the COVID-19 virus has changed all our lives in many profound ways. In order to protect our employees we are continuing to shelter-in-place and following the recommended guidelines. As a result, the magazine is on publishing hold for the foreseeable future. None of us knows what is ahead. Nevertheless, we hope for the best for our readers. Stay safe and strong! If you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.

Accent West was available at magazine racks around Amarillo as well as through subscription. The magazine was published locally every month and there is no word on what the future will hold for the publication.
