Back in November 2022, a sign went up in front of the empty Bush's Chicken Building, formerly Arby's.  The sign said Mr. Noodles.   It was a great way of teasing a new Asian noodle restaurant coming to Amarillo.

The paper went up over the windows and the citizens of Amarillo waited to see what the building and restaurant were going to transform into, for dining. Finally, the business opened recently over the last week, but it was as if they opened secretly.  One day there were cars parked in the lot and the open signs were on and lit up.

Try to search for a website or Facebook page for information and you won't find anything except their Google listing.

However, they are open and ready for your business.

They have several options to choose from when it comes to their dishes, you can choose from beef, chicken, or shrimp.

They have spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, fried breadsticks, and fried peanuts on their menus as well.  Their beverages are in individual cans and bottles.

The servings of the noodles were quite large.   You can get it in regular, or mega, the mega serving is the size of a punch bowl.

The shrimp noodle bowl was filled with all sorts of goodies including broth, udon noodles, a triangle of what is to be believed as tofu or possibly egg, fried peanuts, a boiled egg, vegetables, and a fried breadstick submerged into the broth.  Tempura shrimp were placed on top of the soup as well.  However, soggy tempura shrimp sort of defeats the purpose of tempura shrimp.

The beef was also the same.

However, the fried peanuts were the best part of both dishes.

Mr. Noodles is open Monday - Thursday 11 am - 8:30 pm and Friday and Saturday 11 am-9:30 pm.

The staff is super friendly.  The cost was a little on the pricey side, but if you go in knowing you are going to spend about $40 for two people, then you'll be prepared.

If you're looking for a new restaurant in Amarillo to try, then try out Mr. Noodles, they are located at 4406 Bell St.
