Canyon’s Boom Continues With Another Convenience Coming Soon to VFW

Canyon, Texas, just keeps growing.  Nearly every week, we hear that a new business is moving into this great Texas Panhandle city.  It's only a matter of time before Amarillo and Canyon are fully connected.  It seems that it is already happening on VFW Road.

This road has several names: VFW Road, as mentioned above, South Soncy Road, and FM 2590.  One road with three names, but it is growing every single day.  The number of businesses and neighborhoods that are opening on this stretch is remarkable.

With that said, another business is making its home on this road close to Canyon.

Circle K is Moving Into Canyon

Circle K announced in 2021 that it was moving back into the Amarillo area.  This convenience store hadn't existed in the Texas Panhandle since the 80s.

Canyon will soon be getting a Circle K. The new store is going to be built on VFW Road and Country Club Drive at 19290 South Soncy Road. The store is expected to cost $5.5 million and is expected to be finished next summer.

Since 2021, four new Circle Ks have opened in Amarillo.

Circle K has become a favorite for many folks in the Texas Panhandle because of its convenience and rewards programs, and fuel discounts.
