Police Find Suspect Who Robbed The First Bank Southwest SW 34th At Gunpoint [VIDEO]

On Monday the First Bank Southwest on SW 34th was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown suspect who got away. Police officials located the suspect on Tuesday.

Donald Joseph West, 49, was arrested in the robbery of the First Bank Southwest on SW 34th St. on Monday afternoon.

The Amarillo Police Department along with the Amarillo SWAT team, narcotics officers and FBI agents followed up on leads according to ConnectAmarillo.com, that lead them to the 1900 block of Gregory where the suspect was located.

Around 10:30 pm on Tuesday night officers approached the white, older model single-cab pickup truck that was described leaving the bank robbery on Monday. As the officers got closer West started running away, officers were able to apprehend the suspect. West was in possession of drugs and a large amount of money.
