When you bite into an egg, potato, bacon, and cheese breakfast wrap, you don't really expect to find anything crunchy. Especially when you find out the "crunchiness" could be small rocks! El Monterey brand breakfast wraps are being pulled from store shelves and recalled according to the USDA. Some wraps have contained pieces of "material," including small rocks. Approximately 246,514 pounds of wraps are being recalled - that's a lot of wraps!

The recall affects 8-pack family size packages of egg, potato, bacon, and cheese variety wraps. The packaging has “Best if Used By” dates of 01/17/2020 and 01/18/2020 and lot codes 19017 and 19018. The wraps were produced in January by Ruiz Foods Products and the USDA so far has received 3 customer complaints about the wraps. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
