Robert Earl Keen Covering Tyler Childers’ ‘Whitehouse Road’ Is Just What You Needed Today
Tyler Childers is one of country music's greatest contemporary acts. While it has been a little quiet on the Childers front the past several months, the man was nominated for a Grammy just last year.
Texas Cowboy Hall of Famer Robert Earl Keen may be our generation's best story-teller. Hearing him talk is hypnotizing, when he sings it's poetry. You may recall that Childers and Keen toured together in 2019, a tour I refer to as The My Biggest Regret Tour -- as I should've flown, ran, swam, and walked on broken glass to make it to but didn't. Not catching one of those shows may my biggest live music regret.
How awesome is to see a legend such as Robert Earl Keen seemingly putting a giant stamp of approval on the next generation. And make no mistake, Tyler Childers is a big part of this new generation of country music.
