It’s Christmas in July: We’ve Got a Great Big Santa Convoy That Needs Your Help
It's July and the last thing you want to think of is Christmas. I mean, it's a fun season and holiday, but that stress that goes along with it and all.
Even if you don't want to think about Christmas right now, let's think about the joy of giving. It's still heartwarming to see the smile on a child's face when they get a gift.
There have been quite a few children in the area who probably haven't smiled in a while. Tragedy hit some of our Texas Panhandle towns in the last few months, and yes, homes were destroyed and families lost loved ones. Children have been faced with hardships they should never go through. Can you imagine, being a child and losing your toys in a tragedy?
That's why the Lonestar Santas and the Convoy of Toys went to work. Santa's of the Texas Panhandle have come together to make some magic happen.
The Convoy of Toys made a visit to Hereford recently where over 80 children received 2 toys, 3 stuffed animals, books, and a quilted pillowcase. They also gave out 40 new and refurbished bicycles and fed 120 people. Over the weekend made a visit to determine the need in Perryton and Matador.
You can help put a smile on the face of the child and help out by donating toys. They are in need of new and refurbished bikes.
