What better way to celebrate a home state show than a special dance onstage with your new wife? Scotty McCreery returned to North Carolina on Saturday (Aug. 25), bringing wife Gabi Dugal onstage to share a sweet moment.

During McCreery's set at the Winterville Watermelon Festival, McCreery invited Dugal to join him in front of the crowd so the couple could dance together to McCreery's song "This Is It." Readers can press play above to watch the moment, which culminated in a long kiss before Dugal left the stage.

McCreery and Dugal got married on June 16. McCreery popped the question to Dugal in September, while they were on a romantic hike in the same area in which they held their wedding, and wrote "This Is It" with Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis shortly before proposing. The two have known each other since kindergarten and began dating in high school.

“She’s a rock for me and understands me like nobody else,” McCreery says of Dugal. “And she’s really been there through thick and thin with me, and she’s just awesome. I can’t say enough nice things about her. She’s another grounding force for me.”

"This Is It" is the sixth track on McCreery's latest album, Seasons Change; it's an appropriately titled record for the singer, as he has not only released the new project and married the love of his life in the last year, but also signed a new record deal with Triple Tigers. McCreery, who was the Season 10 winner of American Idol in 2011, wrote all 11 tracks on the album, which was released in March.
