Graduation hits different when you're the mom. Texas seniors are crossing the stage, and moms everywhere are grieving, celebrating, and learning to let go all at once.

I have had the conversation a bunch of times. We discuss some of the best backdrops here in Amarillo to have photos taken. I am surely not a professional photographer by any means but I did take my daughters Senior Pictures and more recently her Maternity Photos.

She is complaining about one point being miscalculated. It is potentially costing her tens of thousands of dollars.

It's storm season in Texas and that means power outages can happen. Looks like that's what happened over the weekend for this Texas high school, but the show still went on.

It is crazy how fast this year is going by. I feel we have this conversation every year. It's not something just in our heads. Or maybe it is. I'm not even sure. I just know that we will kick off the month of May on Saturday.

They encourage everyone to find a spot along the route to watch, but do want remind everyone to maintain social distancing while enjoying the parade.

It made me take a second to reflect on just how much the pandemic has changed things.
