The Best Ways to Celebrate the 4th in the Panhandle
Fourth of July means hot dogs, fireworks, cookouts, flags, family, and everything good about Summer! This year we want you to spend less time planning and more time celebrating. Here is a list of the best ways to spend Independence day around the Panhandle.
Amarillo
Downtown will be hopping with events throughout the whole day.
On Saturday the 30th the Amarillo Community Market will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. After that you can go to the Route 66 Heart of Amarillo Festival pre-party! They will have live music, '50s and '60s costume contest, car show, and more on Sixth Avenue of course, between Georgia and Western streets. The party really gets started at 4:00 p.m. downtown. A food truck alley will be lined up between Polk and Fillmore street along with adult beverages and live music on the Amarillo Nation Bank stage.
A fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m. from the construction site of our new baseball stadium.

Come kick it in Canyon!
Join the city of Canyon for a live concert from the Josh Abbott Band on July 3rd at the First United Bank Center.

On the 4th you can enjoy a pancake breakfast at the Cole Center, parade down 4th, and fair on the square to follow and fireworks start at dusk!

Dalhart
Dalhart will celebrate 4th of July with fireworks at Lake Rita Blanca State Park south of town a golf tournament and more!

:Dumas will have a citywide mud volleyball tournament leading up to their fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m.at Dumas Demon Stadium.

You can enjoy fireworks in Hereford starting around 9:40 p.m. July 3 at Aquatic Center Park.

Lake Meredith
Come join the 3-year-old tradition of watching fireworks and a move at Lake Meredith.
This year they will be showing the Christian movie "I Can Only Imagine" starting at 9:30.

Drive out to the Recreation Park, east of town on Texas Highway 60, for the annual firework show put on by the Pampa Fire Fighters.

Wake up early to join in on The annual David Phillips Memorial 5K and One-Mile Fun Run.

If you live in Oldham county you can join your town at the interstate 40 overpass to wave American flags for oncoming traffic at 9 a.m. on July 4th, followed by a celebration at 6 p.m. in Adrian City Park, with fireworks at dusk.
