Slowly but surely, things are reopening and starting to look a little bit more normal in Amarillo. That includes the Amarillo Botanical Gardens starting their summer hours today.

According to an announcement from Amarillo Botanical Gardens, their summer hours will be Monday through Friday 9 AM to 7 PM. On the weekends they will be open Saturdays 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays 1 PM to 5 PM.

Not only is the Amarillo Botanical Garden kicking off their summer hours today, they're also going to be hosting Music In The Gardens. Music In The Gardens kicks off on Thursday, June 4.

Looking at the event page on Facebook, once person asked if the event was still on. The Amarillo Botanical Gardens responded that the event is still on, and that social distancing will be practiced. Wearing a mask is up to the individual.

They do encourage you to come hungry, as there will be a food truck on the premises.

Music In The Gardens will also be a BYOB event. Lindsey Lane will be performing that night, Thursday, June 4.

It is encouraging to see things getting more and more back to normal. As we head into the summer months, we're seeing sections of Lake Meredith open back up. Live music is starting to pick back up in parts of Amarillo. Outdoor events are starting to pick back up too.

Plus, there's the hope that spectator sports will be back open to the public soon, even if it means we have to limit attendance.

For more info, be sure to check out the Amarillo Botanical Gardens on Facebook, and check out the Music In The Gardens event page.
