Amarillo Parks and Rec Kid’s Fishing Derby Returns to McDonald Lake

Does your young one have what it takes to catch a fish or mulitple fish?  Do they love to throw a line in the water just as much as you do?  Well get your little fisherman ready for the Kid's Fishing Derby.

WHAT: Amarillo's Kid's Fishing Derby

WHEN: Saturday, June 24th, 7:30 - 10:30am

• Registration starts 7:30am
• Prizes: 11am

WHERE: McDonald Lake - 45th and Coulter

Bring the kids out and let them fish for free and have the chance to win some really great prizes.   Prizes will be given for the biggest fish, the smallest fish, the ugliest fish and the most unique fish.

Grab the poles and the bait and the chairs and get ready to let the kids fish.

A limited number of fishing poles will be available for those who do not have any, but it is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Register early and you will have a fishing pole waiting on you if you are one of the first 150 registered.
