Amarillo Zoo To Gearing Up For Junior Zoo Keeper Camp

Do you have a child that is obsessed with animals?  If so, the Amarillo Zoo has the perfect camp just for them, the Junior Zoo Keeper Camp!

Growing up I always thought animals were the cutest things ever and dreamed about being a veterinarian or even a zoo keeper.  I would have loved to experience it first hand.  Your kiddos actually have that chance!

During camp, kids will be working with keepers preparing meals, cleaning exhibits, and studying animal behavior.  Campers will also go behind the scenes to help with enrichment activities for animals such as our lions, tigers, bears and monkeys.

On the last day of camp, family and friends will be able to stop by and see everything you've learned.

Camp is for kids 6-12 years of age.  The Junior Zoo Keeper Camp last one week and will take place June 24th-28th from 9 am to 3 pm. There is a limited number of spaces available so 381-5605 for more information or to get your kid registered.
