Borger, Texas is a charming town in the Texas Panhandle. It's a Texas Mainstreet town full of charm and some of the most amazing people.

Borger is also full of hometown locally owned businesses. Unfortunately, one of Borger's most charming businesses is closing its doors.
Over a year ago we introduced you to Neumann and Company in Borger. This cute little gem is the perfect hideaway in Borger. Boutique in the front with jewelry and clothes and other items. In the back a coffee shop where you could get lost forever in quiet or reading or hanging out with your family and friends.
This treasure is closing its doors and the historic building is up for sale. It is located at 503 Main St. in the heart of downtown Borger.
The store was built in 1926. In 1935, it was purchased by C.R. Anthony and became a department store for clothing. The total square foot of the building is 6,000 sq. feet on the main floor, 6,000 sq. feet in the basement, and 3,000 sq. feet upstairs. Talk about roomy.
Hidden behind the walls is one of the oldest escalators in the US. The size is tiny, nowhere near the size of escalators of today. It even has its own, oops someone got stuck story.
This historical building is on Borger's Main Street and is listed for $125,000 by Candace Summach with Exp Realty.
