A man bought a $5 scratch-off and ended up with $2.6 million.

The Texas Lottery awards millions of dollars worth of prizes every year. You can choose from nine games, including the Powerball and Mega Millions, and a variety of scratch-off tickets. One of those tickets brought some good luck to a Texas man.

Lawrence K. Barrow of Arlington won a huge prize from a Set For Life scratch-off, which promises $2,500 a week for 20 years as the top prize.

He chose to accept his prize in cash.

The Set For Life game offers a total of $51 million in prizes. There is a 1 in 3.81 of winning or breaking even.

Powerball hit a record-breaking high this year at $1.3 billion, which was about $920 million after taxes. Three people from Tennessee, California, and Florida split the grand prize. There was only a 1 in 292 million chance of winning the world's largest Powerball, a much smaller chance than the Set For Life game.
