A crusade is underway to bring Jason Aldean back to Las Vegas, Nev. Survivors of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting have created a photo book for the country star, and are inviting him back to Vegas to finish his set.

As 13 Action News reports, Tiffany Thomas -- who was at Route 91 the night of the shooting -- created a Facebook group for fellow survivors called 58 Angels 1 Last Set. Through the online community, Thomas met Gina McKin, another survivor, and the two teamed up to create a photo book from the show to send to Aldean.

“After it happened, all I could think about was Jason Aldean,” Thomas says. “I kept thinking, like, he was up there, he was on that stage, he was singing for us.”

The two women asked members of the Facebook group to send in their pictures from Route 91 to create the book, which turned out to be 91 pages long. Some of those who contributed also wrote messages to Aldean; various pages of the book are dedicated to different victims and survivors.

“I hope that when he opens it, he just sees that we love him and that we know what he’s going through,” McKin says.

The photo book, as well as a few other special mementos, has been sent to Aldean, and they're using the gift to ask the singer to return to Las Vegas for a concert. They'd like the show to be open to survivors of the shooting, their families and families of the 58 people who died.

“It would just be so bonding and so amazing and so emotional and, I think, so healing," Thomas says.

A representative for Aldean tells 13 Action News that they cannot comment officially on if or when Aldean will return to Las Vegas; however, they added, they are excited to see the book.

Aldean was in the middle of his headlining set on the final night of the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1 when a gunman opened fire on the crowd from a nearby hotel, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more. One week after the tragedy, Aldean went back to Las Vegas to visit with victims.
