Say It’s Not So! Cafe Marizon Rumored to Be Closing
Facebook is a great place to jump on the rumor mill. I have heard rumors that a local restaurant was closing.
The latest rumor is that Cafe Marizon is closing. So with me being me, I went straight to the source and talked to Scott Camarata, the owner, and to put your mind at ease,
Cafe Marizon is NOT closing!
That's great news for all of us that love to eat at the restaurant. Let me tell you they have the best BTS cake and BLT sandwich (I apparently love their food with acronyms).
Where did the rumor come from?
Scott did tell me that they are looking for someone to buy the restaurant and it is up for sale. If you know of someone wanting to take over a successful restaurant business then, Cafe Marizon is for you.
Cafe Marizon has been at it's current location, 6151 Hillside Rd since 2012. Before this, they were located in Downtown Amarillo on Polk Street.
This little cafe has been a part of Amarillo for decades and we would love to see it continue. It's the perfect place for a great lunch, or a great place for a sweet date. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plus you can always find a great variety of food on their menu. Anything from hot dinners including pot roast to Chicken Fried Steaks. They have both hot and cold sandwiches, salads and even quesadillas. Oh and desserts, let's talk about their desserts, you will fall in love with them and keep coming back for more.
So for now, take a deep breath and don't panic. Cafe Marizon isn't closing. However, the owners are looking for a buyer so their Cafe Marizon legacy can continue on.
