Taco Bueno Makes Its Way Back Into the Texas Panhandle
Amarillo has seen its share of restaurants come and go.
However, when one comes into town and opens multiple locations you think it's going to last forever, unfortunately, that's not the case.
Taco Bueno moved into Amarillo around 2008 and opened at least 3 locations, my fuzzy memory says that they had 5 locations.
There was a location on Georgia, off 45th and Coulter, and I-40 and Bell. The location on I-40 and Bell lasted the longest, but it was done sometime in 2018.
Most of these locations are now other restaurants or Toot n Totum.
If you loved the food from Taco Bueno then you can love it again. They had some fantastic refried beans, and the MexiDips and chips were mighty tasty. It's true what they say.
Taco Bueno es more bueno
Until they weren't. I don't know if it was a management thing that caused them to go from wow to not good. However, there was a demise because Taco Bueno in Amarillo is gone.
However, if you love your Taco Bueno, you don't have to drive hours anymore to get a fix. There is a new Taco Bueno in the Texas Panhandle. All you have to do is hop in your car and head to Dumas. Dumas' Taco Bueno is located at 1920 S Dumas Ave.
Dumas, Texas recently got a brand new Taco Bueno, with all the Taco Bueno goodness you love.
Who doesn't love road-tripping? Dumas is about 45 minutes away from Amarillo. You can make a Saturday trip and enjoy some Taco Bueno and then stop at the Tople Turtle Brewing Co. for some great craft beer and shop some of their awesome local shops and boutiques.
