It's summer! This means so many fun family activities, and the best thing about fun, family activities, is when they are free!

First of all, I love anything that has the word free in it. I really do. This was something that my daughter looked forward to every summer. She and a friend would walk a couple of blocks down to Memorial Park and have an adventure.

So now that unofficially it is summer the kids are home a lot more. You want to get them out as much as possible. It's our goal to wear them out. Sneak in a bit of exercise. Oh, and a whole lot of fun.

This is the time of year when anything that you can do outside is better. I mean if it is not on a day that the wind is blowing over forty miles an hour that is. Getting out and getting some of that sunshine for your health is great.
