Texas Monthly just released its 2025 list of the Top 50 BBQ joints. Three East Texas pitmasters earned spots—and two North Texas joints hit the Top 10.

I know it is still pretty early in the year but can we sit back and dream about the smell of barbecue? I mean one of the biggest events in our area is our barbecue cook-offs. Amarillo has its Good Times Celebration Barbecue.

Of these choices, which barbecue type is your favorite: Texas, Kansas City, Memphis, North Carolina, or South Carolina style? I mean, really. It's a no-brainer for 33 states.

If there is one thing you should know about Texans, it is that we love, I mean LOVE our barbecue. There is truly nothing we will not bust out and bbq for. Your sister bringing the new boyfriend over to meet the fam? Let's barbecue! Your cousin just had a baby? Let's cue it up! Your best friend in 3rd grade just retired from their job?
