Texas Police Stop Parents' Heroic Attempt to Save Kids From Wildfire!

Due to dry conditions and lack of moisture, wildfires and structure fires burned through the Texas Panhandle.

The Air Quality In Amarillo the next few days might be a little rough and for once Hereford isn't to blame.

If you have been feeling like our air quality here in Amarillo has been different lately, you are correct.

On most days, I hate the panhandle winds. Today, I absolutely loath it. It blew in with a gift from California, Arizona, New Mexico, and whatever other western state that's on fire.

You might notice smoke and a fire in the north Potter County area but do not worry, it is a scheduled controlled burn.

Now through Monday, March 19th, the Texas Panhandle will have prime conditions to support wildfires.

With all the devastation that has happened over the past few days the community has been asking how they can help.  There are several ways and we have all the information for you.

Randall County announced they lifted the burn ban but warns that their is still guide lines that need to be followed.

As the largest wildfire in Arizona state history continued to burn in the eastern central part of the state on Wednesday, firefighters in 11 other states were busy battling blazes.

In the wake of the recent Amarillo Wildfires, the fire threat level has been raised for Thursday in the panhandle. The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch.
