Two meteor showers peaking this week could offer some decent viewing here in West Texas Tuesday through Thursday, according to meteor-watchers, although a moon waxing more than three-quarters full could impair visibility.

The Draconids are expected to be active Tuesday and Wednesday. According to the International Meteor Organization, many years are sublime with regard to Draconid activity, but last year it reported sightings of more than 100 per hour for several hours at locations in Europe.

Here in Texas just look up in the western sky, our partner ABC 7 says that the best conditions are before midnight looking toward the western sky.
