This Lady Is My Spirit Animal and Let Me Tell You Why.
Credit where credit is due... sometimes momma just needs to kick a little a**
If you happen to be in the Lake Jackson area (just south of Houston, near the coast) you don't want to mess with Phyllis Peña. This woman takes care of business as good as defensive tackle J.J. Watt, who just announced his decision to leave the Texans. Now, the reason she went full-on defensive tackle mode with 19-year-old Zane Hawkins is because...well...Zane-y boy here just happened to get busted peeping into the bedroom window of Phyllis' 15-year-old daughter.
Let. Me. Tell. You. Something.
She is my spirit animal! I've got a daughter and two sons and, much like Phyllis and many other parents, we would go to the ends of the Earth to protect our kids from dirtbags like Z A N E.
The good news is that Lake Jackson police were able to arrest the peeping tom and charge him with a laundry list of bad deeds, including possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, evading arrest (the dumb move that gave us this glorious dashcam footage) and other charges that are still pending.
Now, I don't recommend taking matters into your own hands like she did... Let the police do what they do and help if you can or are asked. But even the officer on the scene was impressed. Lake Jackson Police Sargent Roy Welch gave her some credit, "It was a pretty good tackle".
Pretty good?! I'd say Peña has a pretty good shot at the NFL and I hear a position might be opening up just right down the road in Houston.
Let's go, Girls.
