Amarillo’s Rib Crib Incurs Unexpected Drive-Thru Disaster

One great thing about Amarillo is the many choices in the city when it comes to coffee, business, and restaurants.  One of the not-so-great things about Amarillo is the drivers.  Amarillo is full of some of the worst drivers.

Now if you combine restaurants and bad drivers, you have incidents like the one recently at Rib Crib.

A truck drove through the Rib Crib's building.  It's possible that they were upset that Rib Crib doesn't have a drive-up window.  In all truth, it was a strange and weird accident.

What Happened?

An official source told us that some type of chemical was released inside the truck, which could be CO2.  The man in the truck was asleep, and when a passerby opened the door to check on him he was startled.  The truck was apparently in gear and he gunned it and drove into the Rib Crib building.

Accidents happen and things like this happen a lot more than you think.  If you are planning on parking in front of a building with your car running, make sure you always, always, always, put it in park.  Most people keep the car on for the AC or heater.  Always double-check what gear you are in before you hit the gas.  Just following these two simple tips, might save you from ramming into a building.
