Christmas is taking over and there isn't much we can do about it, but get ready for Mariah Carey everywhere.  I think she's already hiding around the corners and behind the trees to sing All I Want for Christmas Is You.  You might have even heard her already.

It's OK that Christmas comes, in fact, Christmas is a holly jolly fun season and that is what cities and towns all over get into the Christmas spirit.  That's always why Christmas is getting ready to explode all over Dumas, Texas.

They are getting ready for their annual Candy Cane Lane (not to be confused with the Candy Cane Lane on Gainsborough here in Amarillo, but that's a story for later).

Coming up on November 19th, the joy of Christmas will spread all over Moore County with Candy Cane Lane.  This event is for the young and young at heart, in fact, it's for everyone and it officially kicks off the Christmas Season in Dumas!

Candy Cane Lane is Saturday, November 19th from 2-6 pm on the Moore County Courthouse Square.

  • Vendors: 2-6 PM
  • Train Rides: 2-4 PM
  • Pictures with Santa: 2:15 - 5:45 PM
  • Adam Inmon Kids: 2-2:30 PM
  • Dumas Jr. High Band: 2:30-3 PM

  • Dumas High School Band: 4-4:30 PM

  • Santa Flips Dumas to Christmas as he lights the lights: 5:45 PM

This sounds like a great event to have some fun and hang out with family and friends and SANTA!!!!!

It's a perfect road trip for the afternoon from Amarillo to Dumas as well.
