Twice the Fruity Fun: Amarillo’s Go-To Bowls Are Expanding to the Eastside!
Back in 2016, a buzz started in Amarillo. It got started at the Amarillo Community Market. I remember several friends and co-workers talking about this new fruit bowl-type thing that was healthy delicious, and a must-try.
I never got a chance to try it at the Amarillo Community Market but year later I had the privilege of meeting Patty Schniederjan, after I was assigned a commercial to cut for The Acai Bar. Since this was a word, I wasn't familiar with at the time, of course, I didn't pronounce it right. I soon learned that it wasn't, Uh-Kai, it was Ah-Sy-eee.
I got to experience my first Acai bowl and it was the Monkey Bowl, it was delicious, and I was hooked. Over the years, I would walk into the Acai Bar on a random day and get my favorite Acai bow which was the Almond Berry. Patty never forgot who I was, (I would remember me too, after butchering her business name over and over in a commercial), and we always had great chats.
On October 31, 2022, Patty announced they had sold the business. The new owners Stephan and Tawni Coleman have stepped up to the bar and continued The Acai Bar's legacy. The best part, they recently announced that they are expanding the business and opening a new location.
That's Right the Acai Bar is getting a new location.
The second location of The Acai Bar is opening on the east side of Amarillo. This will be a great addition and will make the delicious bowls more convenient for everyone in Amarillo.
They recently opened up a location in Borger on October 1st.
Plus they have the Acai Bar truck that travels making those delicious bowls available all over the Texas Panhandle.
The Acai Bar is taking over the Texas Panhandle with their delicious bowls, smoothies, and toasts. If you have never tried an acai bowl, you'll have more locations to try one.
