Actual Proof That Driving in Amarillo Takes Way Too Long
You're not crazy. Driving from point A to point B takes wayyy longer in Amarillo lately.
The Census Bureau has released the latest estimates from the
American Community Survey for all cities in Texas with a population of 60,000 or more to average how long we spend on our work commute. Amarillo saw the biggest jump in average travel time to work at 13.2%. Lubbock saw the greatest degrees with a 10.5% drop.
Who would have thought that Amarillo traffic would ever get worse than Lubbock?
However, even with the biggest increase, we are still nowhere near the commute times of bigger cities like Austin, Dallas, est. So there is still a small silver lining.
