Matt Marrs a young entrepreneur in Amarillo, purchased the former La Kiva Hotel and in September 2022 he took over the hotel and began the transformation to The Cactus Cove Inn and Suites and The Westerner Extended Stay.

Since the purchase Matt and his crew have done extensive remodeling of the property that took it from a place you would want to avoid to a place you want to stay.  A beautiful oasis in the middle of Amarillo.

Not only that, the historical Western Horseman Club is once again open with Chef Rory Schepisi at the helm.

The Western Horseman Club is back open in Amarillo.

This is the premiere cowboy bar in Amarillo. Since 1983, the people from Amarillo and all over have been kicking up their heels on the dance floor.

The club has had an immaculate makeover and you'll want to go and check it out. Have a drink and dance the night away.

Live music Thursday-Saturday.
