You have a favorite Amarillo restaurant and you've gone there for years. One morning, you see the inspection report from the Bi-City-County Health District and your favorite place, didn't well at all.

One of my favorites showed up with a failed inspection recently and two days later, I get invited to lunch there. I had a decision to make.

I know the owner and feel like he would take the steps necessary to correct the bad stuff, in the inspection. I've never gotten ill, eating there. In fact, I've never had a bad time there.

A couple of people I know, that read the restaurant inspection report, weekly and will never darken the door, of any place that fails. They'll never go back, even if the place gets an "A" during its next inspection. Others will say "Ah, I've eaten there a million times, and have been fine." They'll go, regardless of the inspection grade,

To be fair, if I see a restaurant I've never been to, fail an inspection, I'll avoid it, no matter what. I've had food poisoning twice, in my life. Once very young, and once when I was teaching at AC, and it's horrible. Like, hospital horrible. What I ate, had come from a restaurant, that passed it's latest inspection, with flying colors. Yes, I looked.

So, what would you do? Let us know in the comment section below. Do you still go there? Do you wait to see a new report? Do you put your favorite place, with a bad report, on your "banned" list and never go again?

Tell!
