If you've been down Coulter street lately you might have noticed a bit of construction south of 45th street. First, we saw Chick Fil A re-open after a remodel and one of those sites has become a brand new Golden Chick. And very soon, we will have a brand new Dutch Bros Coffee location coming to Amarillo.

Dutch Bros happens to a west coast coffee chain based out of Oregon that first opened in 1992. The company is actually expanding its national footprint east with its first Amarillo location opening up on Coulter right next door to Popeyes south of 45th street.

Dutch Bros offers everything you would expect with a coffee shop from cold brews to lattes, frozen drinks, energy drinks, chai, tea and kids options as well because nothing is more fun then getting kids wired up especially if you're passing them off to someone else right? Just kidding around, I know it's wrong.

The word has also gotten out on social media too, I normally don't have a lot of coffee in my feed but I did manage to get this fine fellow pop up in my feed.

Looks pretty fancy doesn't it? If you happen to be curious, like most other restaurants and coffee establishments, Dutch Bros also offers a secret menu with all kinds of different items too.

There's no exact opening date yet for the Coulter Street location but according to the company they plan on having it open by the end of the year. looking at how fast the construction is going, I've got a feeling we might just see it a little sooner. If you can't wait, and you're willing to make a drive... Lubbock has one already with another on the way
