If you are a local artist and would love for your work to hang inside Amarillo's Rick Husband International Airport, this could be your big opportunity.

In December of 2013, the Amarillo Convention and Visitor Council Arts Committee and the City of Amarillo kicked off the new Airport Art program.  They search for artists to display their art for six months on the second floor at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.

I think this is awesome!  Art is a great way to see the different ways people represent their culture and feelings.  Plus, the art will be seen by thousands of travelers coming and going out of the airport.

There have already been 17 different artists and two different rotations, but it is time for some new art!  Local artists are invited to submit an application and artwork to the Arts Committee.

If you think this is the opportunity for you, Becky Zenor at 342-2010 or becky@amarillo-chamber.org.  All submissions must be in by Friday, October 17th.  So get your art together and get it to Becky!
