Play Softball Raise Money for Police Officers and Firefighters
Amarillo has a wonderful organization that steps up and helps our police officers and firefighters in the Texas Panhandle. It's called the 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle.
What is the 100 Club?
The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle provides immediate financial assistance to the families of certified peace officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty; provides immediate financial assistance to certified peace officers and firefighters injured in the line of duty and unable to work; purchase life-protecting and lifesaving equipment for law enforcement and firefighting agencies that cannot be secured through budgeted funds.
Do you play softball? Here's how you can help!
The West Texas Heroes Softball Tournament takes place on Saturday, September 17th, and Sunday, September 18th, and they are looking for teams to play. Games start at 8 am each day.
There are several divisions that will be playing, the men's rec division, men's competitive division, and the co-ed division.
Team entry is $325 per team and you must be 18 and up to play. The deadline for entry is Friday, September 9th.
Last year the West Texas Heroes Softball Tournament raised over $10,000 for the 100 Club and this year their goal is $20,000.
Get your teams together and have fun playing while raising funds for the 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle.
