806 Health Tip: Happiness Is Living A Care Free Life
It's Friday and the world seems so much nicer. Are you going to clock out a little earlier today? I mean it's Friday and we worked a long week. So maybe you made the decision to leave a bit early and head down to Palo Duro Canyon.
You think for a second that you are blowing off work. So you feel a little guilty about it. You go back and forth trying to decide what to do. What will make you happier? Would getting in a few more hours make you smile? Or would it be better for your mental and physical health to get outside and hike the Canyon a bit?
If you're really looking to figure out the true key to happiness then you would already be grabbing your sunscreen. When you lean towards that "heck with it" impulse, within reason, it really is best for you.
Of course you can't go all crazy. Making a decision without worrying about those consequences has had positive impacts on a lot of factors in your life. People who can throw caution to the wind are less likely to suffer from depression, anxiety and other mental health issues.
So take this Friday afternoon and put aside some of your responsibilities. Take some time for just you. Grab your hiking shoes and plenty of water. Grab your family and take a ride down to the Canyon or even head over to Medi Park. Take the afternoon to feel that Texas Panhandle wind blow through your hair. Taking time to get some Vitamin D and a little rest and relaxation will go a long way to your mental state of mind.
