Earlier Canyon Independent School District came out and said they needed more substitute teachers and the best way to get them? Increase their pay. I mean that is a win win situation. It makes it easier to find qualified people and they will make more money.

Nothing is wrong with that. They were raising their pay thirty dollars more per day. I am not sure how that campaign worked but Amarillo Independent School District is going to try that same approach.

According to AISD's Facebook page they are making this increase in pay and they are trying to make it easy for you to apply:

Cha-Ching! Substitute teachers provide an invaluable service. We've increased pay for substitute teachers by $50 a day. All you need is a high school diploma or GED to apply today.

So if you always thought you would like to try teaching. Maybe you might even want to become a full time teacher. You just are not sure if it is something you would like. You can get your feet wet and make some money as well. It's a great opportunity.

Teaching can be very rewarding. Being able to shape some student's mind and help them learn what they need to be a successful individual. It's a great time to give it a chance. Whether you are just looking to supplement your income or you are trying to decide your next career. Why not give this a chance.
